Add your IPTV service

Maple Player doesn't come with channels. Add the playlist link or Xtream login from your own provider, and it plays right here in your browser.

The test stream is a public sample video, so you can check your device plays video before adding your service.

Providers

Leave it blank to use the guide link inside your playlist, if it has one. .xml and .xml.gz both work.

Your login is saved only in this browser. When your provider's server blocks web players or uses http://, the player loads it through Maple Player's secure relay on this site, which passes it along without saving or logging it. Leave this off on a shared device.

MAC (Stalker) portals only work in the Android app; a browser can't sign in to them.

Support Maple Player

Install the web player

This saves Maple Player for the web to your device, so it opens from its own icon in its own window. It's still this website, not an App Store or Play Store app, and it needs the internet to play.

Your provider, guide and favourites are kept by the browser. The installed copy on iPad and iPhone has its own storage, so add your provider once more after you open it from the Home Screen.

Help

Bring your own service

Maple Player has no channels of its own. It plays the playlist or login your provider gave you. Only use services you're allowed to watch.

Why won't a channel or playlist load?

  • Provider blocks web players, or uses http://. Browsers block these on a secure page, so Maple Player loads them through its secure relay on this site instead. The relay can't get past a wrong login, a provider that blocks outside connections, or a one-stream limit.
  • Format. HLS (.m3u8) plays in most browsers. MPEG-TS (.ts) plays in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer or Android, but not on iPhone or iPad. In an Xtream login, pick HLS.
  • Codec. Most channels use H.264 video and AAC audio, which plays almost everywhere. Some HEVC (H.265) or AC-3 (Dolby) channels won't play in some browsers.
  • Protected channels. Channels locked with DRM aren't supported.
  • Connection limits. Some providers allow one stream at a time, so close the player on other devices.

TV guide

  • Tap TV guide for the grid. The guide comes from your playlist's guide link, your Xtream login, or a link you add in Providers.
  • A guide link loads the same way as a playlist, through the relay when needed. Compressed .gz guides need Safari 16.4 or newer, or a recent Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
  • Channels are matched to the guide by their guide ID first, then by name. A channel with no match shows “No guide information”.
  • The guide is kept on this device for a few hours, so it opens quickly. Tap Update guide to get a fresh copy.

On iPad and iPhone

  • Safari plays HLS on its own. Tap Full screen for the full picture, or Picture in picture to keep watching while you use other apps.
  • To open it like an app, tap Install at the top for the steps: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. This saves the web player to your Home Screen. It isn't an App Store app.
  • Apple Shortcuts can open the player with your playlist ready to go. Use an Open URLs action with this page's address followed by #playlist= and your playlist link, or #stream= and a stream link. Add &epg= and a guide link to load the guide too. Anyone who sees that shortcut sees the links, so keep it to yourself.

What the web version doesn't do yet

There's no recording, movies and series section, or MAC portal sign-in in the browser. The Android app, which has MAC portal sign-in, is still being built and tested.
